A bookmaker review should show what was checked, when it was checked and what remains uncertain. Rankings are not published merely because an affiliate agreement exists.
1. Eligibility and licensing

4. Safer-gambling controls
Reviews consider age controls, limit-setting options, time-outs, self-exclusion information and access to support. An operator is not presented as suitable merely because it includes a responsible-gambling link; the usefulness and visibility of the available tools matter.
5. Commercial transparency
Affiliate status is stored separately from editorial research. A commercial link is displayed only after an agreement is active and the destination has been approved. Affiliate links are labelled and use sponsored and nofollow attributes. Compensation may affect which operators can be linked, but it must not change licensing facts, documented limitations or review conclusions.
6. Scoring and rankings
No numeric score will be published until the scoring model, weights and minimum evidence standard are documented. Where evidence is incomplete, we say so instead of filling gaps with assumptions. The first comparison may therefore contain fewer operators than the wider South African market.
7. Updates and corrections
Commercial reviews show an editorial review date and a separate licensing-check date. Material changes are reassessed. Confirmed errors are handled under our corrections policy.
